LooksMaxx explains here what information it processes, why it processes it, who it shares data with, and how long that information is retained.
Information LooksMaxx collects
- Profile and setup data you provide in the app, such as age range, gender selection, goals, privacy preferences, and subscription status.
- Face photos or selfies that you choose to capture with the camera or import from your photo library for analysis.
- Analysis outputs generated from those photos, including scores, category breakdowns, action plans, skin-zone overlays, and progress history.
- Device and app activity data needed to run the app, such as app version and in-app events related to scans, onboarding, and purchases.
- Purchase and entitlement information returned by Apple and RevenueCat so LooksMaxx can unlock paid features and restore subscriptions.
How LooksMaxx uses information
- To let you capture or upload a photo and generate a facial-analysis report.
- To save scan history and progress inside the app on your device.
- To personalize recommendations and progress views.
- To manage subscriptions, verify entitlements, and restore purchases.
- To maintain app security, diagnose problems, and improve product quality.
Face photos and analysis data
- LooksMaxx processes selfies only when you intentionally submit them for analysis.
- In the current LooksMaxx configuration, the selected selfie is analyzed on-device through LooksMaxx's local face-geometry scan system to generate the report shown in the app.
- LooksMaxx stores scan history and related saved selfie files locally on the device for up to 30 days so you can compare recent progress and retake scans with context. LooksMaxx uses 30 days because it is the shortest retention window that still supports a meaningful month-over-month progress check without keeping sensitive face data indefinitely.
- After 30 days, LooksMaxx automatically removes expired saved selfies and associated scan records from the device to limit retention of sensitive face data.
- LooksMaxx does not intentionally keep submitted selfies on its own servers after the scan request completes.
- Users should avoid uploading photos of anyone other than themselves and should not submit images that they do not have permission to use.
Face-data summary for App Review and users
- Face data collected: the face photo or selfie you intentionally capture with the camera or import from the photo library, plus the derived analysis outputs generated from that photo.
- Planned use of face data: to generate the facial-analysis report you request, including scores, category breakdowns, skin-zone findings, action plans, and progress views.
- Third-party sharing: in the current LooksMaxx configuration, normal scans are processed on-device and are not shared with a third-party AI service for analysis.
- Retention: LooksMaxx stores scan history, saved selfie files, and derived analysis outputs on-device for up to 30 days so you can review recent progress. LooksMaxx uses 30 days because it is the shortest retention window that still supports recent progress comparisons without retaining sensitive face data indefinitely. After that window, LooksMaxx automatically deletes expired face-data records from the device. LooksMaxx does not intentionally retain submitted selfies on its own backend after the scan request completes.
- Consent: LooksMaxx requires the user to review and accept an in-app face-data consent sheet before analyzing a selfie.
Sharing information
- LooksMaxx shares data with service providers only as needed to operate the app, including Apple for in-app purchases and RevenueCat for subscription status and restore flows.
- LooksMaxx does not sell personal information.
Data retention
- Profile information is primarily stored on the device until you delete local LooksMaxx data or remove the app.
- Face photos, saved scan images, scan history, and derived analysis outputs are kept on-device for up to 30 days so LooksMaxx can support recent progress comparisons. LooksMaxx uses 30 days because it is the shortest retention window that still supports a monthly progress loop without retaining face data indefinitely. After that window, expired records are automatically deleted from the device.
- LooksMaxx does not intentionally retain submitted selfies on its own backend after the scan request completes.
- Service-provider operational logs and subscription records may be retained for operational, security, legal, billing, and fraud-prevention purposes for a limited period.
Your choices
- You can stop using camera and photo-library features by declining those permissions.
- You can delete local LooksMaxx data in the app at any time to clear on-device profile data, scan history, and saved selfies before the 30-day retention window ends.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account subscription settings.
- You can stop submitting face photos for analysis at any time by declining the in-app face-data consent flow or by no longer using the scan features.
